Basic Components
Anode (copper core wire + conductive sheath), pre-filled material - petroleum calcined coke, textile covering layer, long - fiber braided layer.
Copper Core Wire The continuous copper core wire provides stable current for the anode. To ensure flexibility, it is composed of 108 strands of tinned copper wires that are repeatedly stranded.
Conductive Sheath
As the main body of the anode, it has good electrical conductivity. It can protect the copper core wire from external corrosion and conduct the protection current.
Petroleum Calcined Coke Powder
- Reduces the contact resistance between the auxiliary anode and the soil.
- Enables the electrochemical reaction to occur between the carbon powder/soil electrolyte around the auxiliary anode, ensuring that the object to be protected is free from electrochemical corrosion and extending the service life of the auxiliary anode.
Textile Covering Layer
- Envelops the carbon powder around the anode in a circular shape with a certain packing density, ensuring that the carbon powder does not displace, loosen, or scatter during storage, transportation, construction, and use, thus affecting the normal use and service life of the flexible anode.
- Should have good abrasion resistance, puncture resistance, and mechanical strength.
- It should be corrosion-resistant itself, which is more important for applications in water.
Long - fiber Braided Layer
- Protects the textile covering layer from wear during the construction and installation of the flexible anode, and further tightens and fixes the carbon powder and the textile covering layer.
- Should have good abrasion resistance and mechanical strength.
